Forty-six practical Android skills: Update Android Studio with patch

The Android Studio on the company's machine is very fashionable and receives the official stable version of the push on time every time. The latest stable version is 1.4.1, which adds many exciting features.
However, the AS on my laptop is still in 1.3.1, and it is time to take the initiative to update it.

Currently, active updates are difficult. AS prompts a failure to connect to the server. There are two solutions circulating on the network:
1. Add the following content to the./bin/studio64.vmoptions file:

-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true-Didea.updates.url=http://dl.google.com/android/studio/patches/updates.xml  -Didea.patches.url=http://dl.google.com/android/studio/patches/ 

Although the update information can be called out, I still cannot download it here.

I had to try a complicated second solution.
Ii. download the patch for manual updates
 
All versions of Android Studio are listed here, and the latest version is 1.5 Beta.
"A new Android Studio 1.5 Beta is available in the canary channel ."
We need to take the initiative to obtain the patch in the following format:

　linux: AI-$FROM-$TO-patch-unix.jar  windows: AI-$FROM-$TO-patch-win.jar  MacOS: AI-$FROM-$TO-patch-mac.jar

However, there is no corresponding patch from 1.3.1 to 1.4.1, so you need to overdo it. Here are my two Upgrade Plans:

The installation is simple. You only need to run the following command:

android-studio3$ java -cp ~/Downloads/AI-141.2135290-141.2279206-patch-unix.jar com.intellij.updater.Runner install ....android-studio3$ java -cp ~/Downloads/AI-141.2279206-141.2343393-patch-unix.jar com.intellij.updater.Runner install .

After the update is complete, start the new version of AS to explore NDK development support now!
