Four browsers with high speed PK

Firefox 13 has been launched, and its speed has been mentioned in its reports. In addition, Chrome and Opera have released their new versions. Now it's time to compare their speed. As a result, we can again compare the browser startup time, tag loading time, and more, with some shocking results.

All tests are performed in Windows, which is why we do not have Safari. Next time we will perform a Mac browser test ). Again, the speed is not the only one. Each browser has its own features and functions. These are all the options you need to consider. You also need to know that everyone's computer is different. So the test data will be different, but the comparison between them should be the same.

Cold start winner: Opera!

Opera does not take 2 seconds to start. Chrome takes about 4 seconds, and other browsers depend on the back.

We need to load nine tabs in our test, from Lifehacker to Facebook, to Hulu and Gmail. The loading time of Opera is surprising. Firefox has made great progress. Chrome is the slowest.

URL loading winner: Chrome!

Chrome won the championship in this test, thanks to its pre-rendering function. Other browsers are fast, while Chrome is an instant. Firefox and IE ranked second and third, and Opera almost doubled.

Cold Restart winner: Firefox!

We save the preceding tag to a session, restart the browser, and time the recovery time until the browser stops loading. Firefox wins, Chrome follows closely, Chrome lags far behind, and IE's ability to automatically restore calls is excluded.

Javascript winner: Chrome!

This result is expected. Chrome has superior performance. Firefox and other browsers are in the second Camp, and there is still a little distance from Chrome.

DOM/CSS performance winner: Opera!

This result is expected, and Opera's CSS performance will kill them in seconds.

Memory usage opens 9 tags) Winner: Firefox!

The memory usage of Firefox has been improved. But almost all browsers are bloated. Several minutes later, most browsers are close to about 310 MB, while Firefox is MB.

The results were surprising. Firefox has no improvement without components. However, after adding components, other browsers were about MB while Firefox was only 60 MB, which clearly became the champion.
