Spring Basic Features: http://blog.csdn.net/tfy1332/article/details/8635704
Core container (Spring core)
The core container provides the basic functionality of the spring framework. Spring organizes and manages individual components and their relationships in Java applications in a bean way. Spring uses beanfactory to generate and manage beans, which is the implementation of the factory pattern. The beanfactory uses the inversion of control (IoC) pattern to separate the applied configuration and dependency specifications from the actual application code. Beanfactory is provided to component dependencies in a way that relies on injection.
Spring contexts (Spring context)
The spring context is a configuration file that provides contextual information to the spring framework. The spring context includes enterprise services such as Jndi, EJB, e-mail, internationalization, checksum scheduling capabilities.
Spring-oriented tangent programming (Spring AOP)
The Spring AOP module integrates aspect-oriented programming functionality directly into the spring framework through configuration management features. Therefore, it is easy to enable any object managed by the spring framework to support AOP. The spring AOP module provides transaction management services for objects in spring-based applications. By using Spring AOP, you can integrate declarative transaction management into your application without relying on EJB components.
Spring DAO Module
The main purpose of the DAO pattern is to isolate persistent layer-related issues from common business rules and workflows. The DAO in spring provides a consistent way to access the database, regardless of the persistence technology, Spring provides the programming model. Spring also provides a consistent, DAO-style exception hierarchy for different persistence layer technologies.
Spring ORM Module
Spring is well integrated with all the major ORM mapping frameworks, including Hibernate, JDO implementations, TopLink, and Ibatis SQL maps. Spring provides helper classes such as templates for all of these frameworks, achieving a consistent programming style.
Spring Web Module
The Web context module is built on top of the application context module and provides the context for Web-based applications. The Web tier uses the Web layer framework, which is optional, either spring's own MVC framework, or the web framework provided, such as struts, webwork, tapestry, and JSF.
Spring MVC Framework (Spring WEBMVC)
The MVC framework is a full-featured MVC implementation of building Web applications. Through the policy interface, the MVC framework becomes highly configurable. The Spring MVC Framework provides a clear role division: Controllers, validators, command objects, form objects and model objects, distributors, processor mappings, and view parsers. Spring supports multiple view technologies.
