By default, the new Word document background is drab and white, and if you need to, you can add a background or watermark to it in the following way.
Perform "format" → "background" and choose one of the following actions:
1. In the color board, click to select the desired color directly.
2. If the above color is not required, click More colors to choose a different color.
3. Click Fill effect to add a gradient, texture, pattern, or picture.
Tip: You can change the background color or fill effect by doing this again; To remove a setting, perform the format → background, and then click No Fill; the document background and fill effects cannot be displayed in normal and outline view, and to display, you need to switch to another view; By default, you cannot preview and print with the background "Created document background, to preview or print the background effect, execute the tools → options → print tab, select the background color and image check box.
4. Click Watermark to open the Watermark dialog box to add a picture watermark or text watermark to your document.
Tip: Re-select the watermark that you want to change, select No watermark in the Watermark dialog box to suppress watermark settings; Watermarks are designed for printed documents and are not visible in normal view, Web layout view, outline view, and reading layout; After you add a watermark, go to the header footer view, You can adjust the color or size of the watermark picture and WordArt.
Finally, if you are tired of the default white background black words, you can execute the "tools" → "Options" → "General" tab, select the "Blue White" check box, change the style to try, but this is not part of the document background.
