Failure phenomenon: The author's hard drive is 20GB, divided into 5 districts, the recent use of partition Magic Pro 7.0 to the D, e two partitions, in the process of the merger because there is no e-disk data backup, resulting in the merged e-disk important documents can not read out, in "My Computer" Can not be displayed in.
Problem Analysis: The previous use of Partition Magic for the hard disk partition of the merge and split operation, did not occur, this may be in the process of merging the file partition table damage, so e disk important files can not be read out, and actually the contents of the file is not damaged, Can be retrieved by other software.
Workaround: Because ghost can generate a mirrored file for the entire hard disk or partition, Ghostexp can extract any of the files from the mirrored file, so we can retrieve the files through the Ghost.exe and GhostExp.exe tools. The specific actions are as follows:
1. The damaged partition is generated by Ghost.exe a mirrored file, which is saved in another partition or hard disk;
2. Run GhostExp.exe under Windows, open the mirrored file just generated, you can see a lot of the first two partitions of the file displayed;
3. Select the file you want to recover, right-click, select Restore, and in the dialog box that pops up, select the location to restore to, and then click Restore.
4. Repeat the above process to restore all required documents
