Git Installation Error

Git reports the following error when making: can't locate extutils/makemaker. PM in @ INC

The solution is as follows:

Yum-y install Perl-devel Perl-CPAN

Git requires Perl for compilation. Then re-make

Git make: tclsh failed; using unoptimized Loading

Msgfmt po/BG. MSG make [1]: *** error 127: [po/BG. MSG]

Yum install TCL build-essential TK gettext

After installation, Use https to operate git. the following error occurs: Fatal: unable to find remote helper for 'https'

Yum install-y curl-devel

Then reinstall git

After installation, git -- version is still the old version (1.7.12)

During git installation, you do not use -- prefix to specify the installation directory, which is installed in/usr/local/bin/git by default, copy/usr/local/bin/git or ln to/usr/bin/git.
