Google updates the database around the 15th to 20th of every month. Each upgrade will cause fluctuations in the rankings, commonly known as Google Dance. However, in Dance, which ended last week, a panic swept through the search engine optimization group: many websites that have ranked top in Google's rankings suddenly fell sharply behind, after seeing that you suddenly fell from the top of the ranking list to the top 500 websites, you even couldn't find a link! Not only did my own websites, but earlier competitor websites also failed to disappear. Instead, they were replaced by some unfamiliar links leading the rankings.
According to Dance in April this year, Google made some changes in its computing method, resulting in 60% of websites, I .e. 1.8 billion of web pages, being affected, which is a big shock. Therefore, some experts believe that this large shock is also related to the adjustment of calculation rules. In this upgrade, Google introduced a new spam filter program that simultaneously executes the keyword filtering task. The keywords of many websites remain unchanged, but many highly competitive keywords are constantly being improved and adjusted.
Experts put forward a point for this upgrade: the new Google algorithm pays more attention to the content and context of the website "itself" ("native" and existing context ), attempts to exclude the top ranking that relies heavily on search engine optimization rules. Its purpose is to optimize websites based on users and visitors, rather than search engines, so as to ensure the natural ranking quality of search results.
Search engine optimization is user-oriented instead of search engines, and the table looks a bit contradictory. But actually, Google knows that this is exactly what Google has always said: seek commercial benefits on the basis of maximizing user satisfaction.
Spam filtering is a new rule introduced by Google in this Dance and is still being adjusted. Some experts suggest that you do not make any major changes to the website caused by this upgrade, but be patient, after the new law is stabilized, we will take corresponding measures.
