Google will remove Chrome's RSS Extension Feature

Google decided to close the Google Reader Service and brought some incidental damages: Google announced that it would remove RSS extensions on its Chrome browser.

Similar to Atom technology, RSS is easy for people to subscribe to regularly updated content on websites. browsing through Google Reader is a favorite way for users to read. However, Google recently announced that it would remove the RSS extension feature from Chrome after canceling the Service in December July 1.

This extension allows users to inspect RSS feeds and subscribe to these feeds through various RSS reader services.

When Google chooses to abandon the Google Reader Service, it means that other RSS readers will gain new explosive growth opportunities. According to reports, the RSS Reader application Feedly has received 0.5 million new users, while the Old Reader has received 0.1 million new users.
