Gridview generation sequence number

A common problem is that you need to add an sequence number column in The gridview and the column is automatically numbered from 1. The IDs in the database are often discontinuous (when records are deleted), and we cannot bind existing fields as numbers. Therefore, we need to manually number the gridview.

Idea: output the ID + 1 of each row in the gridview when row is generated (the first row starts from 0, therefore, + 1)
 

 

First, manually add a boundfield to the gridview on the aspx page.
