Handling wireless 11n network problems

Before solving the network speed problem, we must consider that the 802.11n standard is not a perfect version, and its products need to be improved.

1. Make sure you are using the new adapter.

If the maximum data transmission rate you see is 54Mbps or lower, you should first check whether the wireless 11n adapter or the old wireless 11g Nic is used. The old adapter can connect to the new N device, but the network performance and speed will be greatly reduced. Therefore, update the wireless device.

2. Verify that the hardware is from the same manufacturer

The reason why the Wi-Fi Alliance needs to authenticate wireless networking products is to ensure that all vendors develop devices simultaneously.

However, some features are proprietary to individual vendors and must be used together. In addition, the wireless 11n device may involve more interoperability issues. One reason is that the official standards need to be improved is that suppliers are also launching trial products. You should use devices connected to the same vendor to avoid possible problems. The wireless 11n network is backward compatible with the wireless 11g network and even the B standard network.
