How do I set the Prohibit write folder?

Step one, right-click you need to set a blocked folder to write, select Properties, switch to the Security tab on the Properties window, select the user, and then locate the user name (or user group) you want to restrict, and click the Edit button, as shown in the picture:

Step two, and then in the permission list below, select the "Deny" (tick) after the "write" item to make sure that the folder will not be able to write to any files under that user. But note that this is what you want to make sure the disk where the folder is located is the NTFS file system to set permission settings against write. As shown in the figure:
