How does the Domino server send and receive emails in the LAN (configure your own Domino server )?

B. Make sure that the SMTP service in the Windows Service has stopped because we want to use the SMTP service of the Domino system.
C. Edit the server document and set the "fully qualified Internet host name" (fully qualified Internet host name );
D. Edit the server document and start the "SMTP listener task" (SNTP listener task.
E. in the Basic tab of "vro/SMTP" in the server configuration document, "enable SMTP outside the local region" (SMTP used when sending messages outside of the local Internet domain) is enabled.

For mail users, when registering a user, you need to set the user's Internet address (for example: abc@xxx.eicp.net), and
Fully-qualified Internet host names: (for example, xxx.vicp.net); if the user has already registered, open "users and groups" on the Lotus Administrator console and find the user's documents, modify the user's Internet mail address, for example, to a abc@xxx.eicp.net

A. Obtain the Domain Name Service.

After logging on to the peanut shell, it will resolve the domain name and obtain your public IP address. note that this IP address is the public IP address of your router, not the real IP address of your server. therefore, you need to map the service port on your server to the vro. here we need to map the web80 port and smtp25 port,

B. Cancel the Windows SMTP service.
Because we want to use the SMTP service of the Domino system, if your test machine is a Windows 2000 Server Operating System, there may be a startup SMTP service, so we need to stop this service. Stop method: Right-click my computer and choose manage> services> Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) from the menu to stop, set the start mode to manual.
