Second, you must have the courage to speak and ask questions. It is natural to realize that a foreign language is not your own mother tongue. It is not natural to say it well. (if so, the following text can be left blank ). So do not be afraid to make mistakes. Generally, mistakes made in a foreign language are not ridiculed. In addition, if you encounter a phenomenon that you cannot express yourself, you can ask a question and ask the other party the correct expression method. Generally, you will get a good response.

 

Third, we need to talk about backup. Although freedom, like water, is a feature of good conversations, it should be well controlled to learn foreign languages. Because the biggest obstacle for us to talk in a foreign language is generally vocabulary, if we leave it alone, we will often be confused, because you may not have heard many other words. Therefore, it is best to prepare your own skills before the conversation. You can see what foreigners are talking about, what terms are there, and how to control the topic. Of course, this is sometimes difficult, but it works very well. In addition, the preparation of the topic should not be limited to one, so as to avoid deadlocks in the conversation.

 

Fourth, learn some necessary cultural background knowledge. Although foreigners should follow the mainstream Chinese culture when they arrive in China, some basic taboos should be understood by us. For example, do not ask private questions during the first meeting. In this way, there will be no embarrassing situation in the conversation.
