How to upgrade Ubuntu 10.04.4 to gnome3

Graphical interface Installation Method: 1. Run Ubuntu Software Center and select Software sources from the edit menu. Then, select the other software tab in the Open Software Sources window. Click the Add button to add the PPA. Enter such apt line: PPA: gnome3-team/gnome3 in the add window, and then add source to confirm adding. Close this window. The Ubuntu Software Center is automatically updated. 2. Run update manager for updates (PPA will upgrade some packages ). 3. log out, and then select gnome session during log in. Command line installation method: run the following command: sudo add-Apt-repository PPA: gnome3-team/gnome3 sudo apt-Get update sudo apt-Get dist-upgrade sudo apt-Get install gnome-shell, log out and log in again.
