A custom dictionary for Word: A list of words that are not in the standard dictionary but which the author wants the spelling checker to accept as the correct word.
Edit a custom dictionary
Dictionaries that are built into Word cannot be edited, and only words can be added or edited in a custom dictionary. Take Word2010 Software as an example to explain how to edit a custom dictionary word list:
Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, and click file → options.
Step 2nd, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Proofing tab and click the Custom Dictionaries button.
Step 3rd, open the Custom Dictionaries dialog box, select the Word2010 default custom dictionary Custom.dic in the list of dictionaries, and click the Edit Word List button.
Step 4th, open the Custom.dic dialog box, enter the word you want to add in the word edit box, and click the Add button. If you need to delete a word from a custom dictionary, you can click the Delete button when the target word is selected. When you finish editing, click OK to return to the Word2010 document window.
