The parameter configurations of these devices are not complex, however, in actual use, we may need to change the corresponding parameters, such as bringing the device to another home, or a new computer in the home needs to filter the MAC address of the new device on the router, or to restrict the random internet access of the child in the home for a period of time.

Over time, you may feel that this frequent modification of configuration parameter information is a bit futile. 1. Configuration Restoration:

The recovery configuration function allows us to set different parameters for different network environments and network requirements based on the actual situation at home, and properly Save the configuration information of these parameters. If necessary, we can load and restore them directly. Generally, not all wireless routers and broadband routers have the configuration recovery function. We need to find the corresponding options on the "management" interface. The D-Link DIR300 wireless router in the hands of the author has this function, so here I write this bit to show you how to restore the configuration function.

Ii. Recovery Configuration:

The whole configuration recovery operation is not complex. The key is to keep the backup configuration file properly. The following describes the implementation steps using the D-Link DIR300 wireless router as an example.

Step 1: access its management interface through the DIR300 management address 192.168.0.1, enter the correct management account information and password, and then log on.

Step 2: The configuration recovery function is displayed under the Maintenance tag option of DIR300. Click "Save and restore" on the left. This is the option for backup and recovery configuration.

Step 3: Select "Save and restore" and we will see that it consists of several parts, including "Save settings to local hard disk" and "load settings from local hard disk ", "Restore to factory default settings" and "Clear Language Pack ". Here, we will first back up the current configuration parameters for future use.

Step 4: backup the current configuration parameters through "Save settings to local hard disk". Click "save, in the pop-up window, select the path for saving the configuration. We can see that the file format for saving the configuration information of the vro is BIN and the name is config. bin, which is a binary code file and cannot be opened directly.

Step 5: test whether the saved configuration file can successfully restore the parameters. First, use the "Restore to factory default settings" button to clear the router parameters and restart the device.
