Idea of customizing list or dataview Query

1. Directly query listviewwebpart
1. Use filterwebpart of Sharepoint to connect to the list.
2. Use vs for custom webpart, then use webpartzone to find the listwebpart contained in it, and set its caml query to implement filtering.
2. Directly query dataviewwebpart
1. Use various filterwebparts in Sharepoint to connect to them. This method is described in p319 in <Sharepoint Server 2007 guide>.
2. Using form webpart: each control contained in form can only be a client control of HTML. Therefore, operations such as filling dropdownlist can only be implemented using Js, the filled value may need to be obtained from the server, which is quite troublesome. in addition, the set conditions are also dead, such as name = [name]. If you need to filter some conditions when the user does not enter the corresponding conditions, it cannot be implemented. (because the filter conditions are directly written in the selectcommand attribute of the server control ). however, if you use XSLT for query, you may use XPath to dynamically set conditions. However, since all the data is retrieved from the database, after filtering through XLST on the server side, the corresponding HTML is output to the client, which results in performance loss.
