If you think the lookup source was changed when PowerCenter last built the cache, you can instruct PowerCenter to rebuild the lookup cache.

When you rebuild the cache, PowerCenter overwrites the existing persistent cache file and creates a new cache file. PowerCenter writes a message to the session log when the cache is rebuilt.

The cache can be rebuilt when the mapping contains a Lookup transformation or a Lookup transformation in a map that contains multiple target load-in-order groups that share the cache. You do not have to rebuild the cache when dynamic lookups share the cache with static lookups in the same map.

In some cases, PowerCenter automatically rebuilds the persistent cache even if the cache lookup source is not selected.
