Input Method-Ubuntu manual Configuration

I searched some posts in the community and finally found the problem.
First of all, a post is "merge Input Method Problems". The problem cannot be solved by following the steps here, because there is no process related to the input method in the system.
Then I continued to search and found a post "Quick Setting Guide", which found that my system was not fully installed because it was not correct "modify source ", according to the descriptions in this post, set the corresponding "Source" (I chose 99cn and Shanghai Telecom), then update the system, and then restart (even the same as windows ).
After the restart, open the language management system and report that the installation is not complete. Then, follow the prompts to install the language management system. Chinese support is only available. Everything is done.

Some interesting points are found in this process:
1. root users are not allowed to log on to the desktop by default due to security issues. The root user password is a random password, when modifying system configurations, if you use the user claimed during installation, you will encounter permission issues. There are two solutions: one is to modify the root user password and configuration, you can use the root user to complete the task by changing the password: Sudo passwd Root

To allow the root user to log on to the desktop, choose system> System Management> Security tab in the logon window.
2. I originally wanted to use VI and found that it was difficult to adapt to the VI operation method. Finally, I found the gedit graphical interface editor, which can be started using the command line below, modify the configuration file with the permissions of the Super User: Sudo gedit

3. It may be because it is free, so many things can be freely stored on the Internet without a large installation source. In addition, after the efforts of so many people, it is very convenient to download the software package, it is more convenient than windows.
4. Ubuntu is similar to Windows in terms of operations, and some hotkeys are the same, such as Ctrl + C and enable the input method. Haha, I like this.
The first step of the long journey is now, although time-consuming and laborious, but it feels good. Software on Ubuntu seems quite comprehensive. Although not all Windows software can find alternatives under Ubuntu, I believe that daily work and life are enough. Abandon windows.
