Engaged in computer network work, it is absolutely impossible to have a variety of practical operations. However, in reality, the scarcity of the real network environment limits many comrades who want to learn more about the network. Let alone learning about IPv6 in a real IPv6 network environment. This article uses DynamipsGUI and VMware to build an experimental environment that is almost the same as that of a real IPv6 network for those who want to learn more about IPv6. You can perform a variety of tests and operations in the built network environment at will, which can greatly improve the efficiency of learning IPv6 knowledge. The software used in this article can be found on the Internet. After installing the software on the computer, you can follow the steps below to build the IPv6 network environment step by step.

I. Network Structure Topology and software used.

Figure 1 Network Structure Topology

1. network topology introduction. 1 shows a pure IPv6 network environment. The final function is to ping the Server from the PC through a router. Otherwise, ping the PC from the Server. The specific parameter configurations in Figure 1 are described in detail below.

2. Introduction to using software. Figure 1 The network environment is built on a Windows 7 operating system computer. That is to say, on a single computer, the software is used to build the same network as the actual IPv6 environment. In Windows 7, two software programs are installed. One is the DynamipsGUI of Xiaofan, with version 2.8. The other is VMware and version 7.1.3 build-324285, in addition, Windows 7 is installed on VMware virtual machines. Windows XP is not installed in VMware because Win7 has good support for IPv6.

3. For the installation and use of the above two software, there are many related articles on the Internet, so I will not describe them one by one here. However, you may need to pay more attention when installing the Win 7 System in the VMware Virtual Machine.
