1 Introduction

In the construction of TD-SCDMA (hereinafter referred to as "TD") project, the antenna and the RF unit of the base station must be connected through multiple cable feeds, complicated installation, reduced sensitivity, and inconvenient maintenance and replacement. In this regard, the design of an integrated TD antenna combining the antenna and the base station RF Unit has received much attention. The integrated antenna has good reliability and stability, and has some advantages over ordinary antennas in reducing the damage of the cable feed connector, beautifying the appearance of the antenna, and facilitating installation and maintenance.

2. The traditional website construction method is in urgent need of change

The current antenna area construction method determines that a lot of work should be carried out on the Tower Site. Engineers must pay special attention to engineering details, such as waterproofing and bending of feeder. The Installation Level of on-site engineers is uneven, which makes the actual installation effect unable to be guaranteed. The installation process and quality of different sites are even more difficult to meet Unified Specifications, this poses a hidden danger to the operator's network maintenance in the future.

When a carrier builds a brand new site, the construction process is complicated. It takes about 2 hours for the feeder connection and waterproofing, and the network replacement and maintenance may take a longer time. The engineer can adjust the suspension position of the antenna to ensure free adjustment of the antenna inclination. The integrated design facilitates product disassembly and assembly, and ensures that the carrier does not change the antenna inclination and no additional network optimization work during RRU maintenance.

In addition, the appearance of RRU 268i simplifies and beautifies the sky, reduces the site selection requirements, and does not add additional installation space. RRU 268i solves many problems of the traditional TD antenna and RRU, this includes low project security, low environmental adaptability, difficult installation and maintenance, special waterproof reinforcement, and strong visual impact.

4. Continuous innovation focuses on openness and integration

Product installation is faster, maintenance is simpler, product appearance is more beautifying, and more stable functions are the constant pursuit of Nokia Siemens communication R & D products, truly adding value to operators. New challenges from integrated RRU electronic adjustment and integrated RRU camouflage require not only mobile operators to take the lead in organizing equipment specifications and test specifications, but also promote the development of integrated RRU, in addition, we must fully explore the concept of "integration" and apply it on a large scale. In addition, how can the integration product form be further evolved to improve the compatibility of different products; how can the integration connector interface be further standardized to improve the interconnection capability of different products. All these problems require extensive cooperation from all parties in the industry, integrating advantageous resources, and jointly exploring the path to large-scale deployment of TD.
