Merging of two objects

Well, recently done project, found to merge two JS objects together. For example:

INFOS={XXX:XXX,XXX:XXX,XXX:XXX};

INFO={XXX:XXX,XXX:XXX,XXX;XXX}

The method of merging is very simple, that is $.extend ({}, Infos,info);

In fact, the JS object and JS Array this aspect of understanding is still not very clear, sometimes I want to add a property to an object, with the X.proprtype. But I found that does not work, do not know why, some useful, some useless, hope to see the blog can learn with me, progress together!
