method of separating name and ID number in Excel

You can use a formula

Separate name:

=LEFTB (C2,searchb ("?", C2)-1)

Separate ID Number:

=MIDB (C2,searchb ("?", C2), 99)

The formula is simple enough, but there's a simpler way:

Adjust the width of the column to no more than the last digit of the ID card, and then perform the start-fill-justify alignment.

The effect after separation:

If you want to put the ID behind the name, just enter the =C3 in the D2, then select D2:d3 to copy down, convert the formula to a numeric value, and then filter the D column empty cell deletion.
