Microsoft Office live workspace beta is available for Global Registration

Overview

Microsoft announced the release of the online document storage service office live workspace test (English) in the world. In the past, office live workspace was used only by invitation. Now anyone can use it after logging in, this service allows Microsoft Office users to obtain and share their documents online.

New Features

1. Activity panel: the new activity panel displays the workspace of all activities at a glance.

2. Email Notification: people can now learn about the changes in their work zone or documents by receiving email notifications.

3. Direct Connection: you can add a unique URL address in the browser window to your workspace or work project.

4. Multi-file upload: people can now upload multiple files at the same time through simple desktop drag-and-drop.

5. Improved sharing: The new sharing feature includes an easy-to-use user interface and an automatically completed email address.

The basic prerequisite for using office live wordspace is to install office add-in, all your officeProgram(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) all have a built-in live workspaces to connect to your account, so that you can save local files directly to the network, then, use your live workspace account to access this file from any location in the world and share it with other users. This is similar to Google Docs, but the huge advantage of Microsoft Office live wordspace is that it is directly integrated into microsoft office desktop applications, which is something Google cannot do in its dream. Experience

After a simple test, office live wordspace is really good. You can use the local office to edit files and directly publish them to the server when saving the files. You can create multiple work zones on your own, other users can comment on shared documents. This will be an important product for Microsoft to compete with Google Docs.
