More developer tools will be available in Firefox stable version

Last week, Mozilla held a developer activity on Hacker News and Twitter and asked developers what new tools and functions they wanted to see. According to the feedback, the Firefox tool team has developed several new features, including the editor and network panel in the browser. These features will soon enter the stable version of Firefox.

Developers most want to see the function of writing code in the browser and controlling the Firefox browser from the integrated development environment. The Firefox team demonstrated how to connect to the Sublime editor through the existing remote control function of Firefox, and planned to put a text editor in the Firefox browser. In 2009, Mozilla made a text editor called Bespin, but later gave up. Therefore, Mozilla should be more experienced in this regard.

Another new feature is similar to the network panel and timeline tool on Chrome or Firebug, allowing developers to monitor the usage of network resources. The Firefox team also hopes to improve Firefox compatibility, especially in combination with Firebug. They hope to add Firebug to the browser's developer tool menu.

Mozilla is also developing some other tool functions, including event monitoring. These features may take a few more months, But Mozilla obviously knows that Firefox needs to be updated in terms of development tools.
