Members of the cldc 1.1 (JSR 139) expert group are basically satisfied with cldc Specification Version 1.0 and do not consider any fundamental changes to the new specifications. Therefore, cldc specification 1.1 is basically only a supplemental version and is completely backward compatible with cldc Specification 1.0. Some important new features, such as floating point support, are added to this new version.
