The first step is to build a development environment while the hand. I do not have a MacBook computer, only a three years ago to buy the IBM T40, run MacOSX very reluctantly, or on Windows XP to do development. Now that you are developing on Windows XP, what does the IDE choose? I choose the NetBeans Ruby IDE:

First, RoR IDE

You can download the Ruby IDE-specific version of NetBeans from this place, which is only 30MB in size, faster than radrails! NetBeans's ROR support is powerful, but also two points to note:

1 must use JDK6.0, otherwise NetBeans will be very slow

2 must modify the JDK font file, otherwise the Chinese display garbled (refer to the Javaeye Forum Dcaoyuan Post)
