Unlike VPD and OLS, Vault is designed to prevent unauthorized access to DBA accounts with sys accounts in actual production environments. Without a vault, DBAs can view data at will, which is not allowed by some enterprises (especially in the financial sector, you can control DBA access to the core data of the application, as shown in:

Currently, in the HR and Fin fields, DBAs with sys permissions cannot access these two fields. Only users in the corresponding fields can access data in a specific field. This completely solves the problem of abuse of DBA permissions.

I will not explain the Vault configuration in detail here. Most people only need to understand its role. The real business will be used in the book mentioned above. There is no end to learning such a technology, sometimes you need to know what's right :)
