Microsoft parallel extensions is a parallel processing extension under the. NET Framework. Currently, the latest June 2008 CTP mainly includes the following features:

  • Use the LINQ syntax to perform parallel queries for the LINQ-to-objects and LINQ-to-XML
  • Reference the system. Threading and system. Threading. Tasks namespaces in the system. Threading. dll assembly to perform parallel task operations.
  • Added a new set of data containers in the namespace system. Threading and system. Threading. Tasks.
  • Provides an advanced task manager for scheduling operations.
