Start Menu--run--input: regedit;

Open the registry, and then click Find Hkey_local_machine\hardware\devicemap\serialcomm;

If you have COM values, change the name bar \device\prolificserial0 to \device\serial0.

If there is no COM value, simply create a new \device\serial0 value for any of the values you are using now, such as COM1
