Lab Objectives

Inherit: add the read and write permissions of the Tom user to the E: \ Tom folder, and create subfolders in the E: \ Tom folder, check the NTFS permission of the sub-Folder. Does the Tom user have the read and write permissions?

Cancel inheritance: retain the NTFS permission of the sub-Folder Tom user as read, and cancel the write permission inherited from the parent folder

Forced inheritance: Configure forced inheritance on the Tom folder of the parent folder

2. Create a sub-Folder tom1 under E: \ Tom to check whether the NTFS permission of tom1 is also granted to the Tom user.

3. Retain the NTFS permission of the sub-Folder Tom user as read, and cancel the write permission inherited from the parent folder

Right-click the subfolder and choose "properties"> "security"> "advanced"> "Permissions"> "Change permissions"> "uninherit from parent"> "add"> "OK"> "edit"> "Modify user permissions ".

4. Configure forced inheritance in the Tom folder of the parent folder

Right-click the parent folder and choose "properties"> "security"> "advanced"> "Permissions"> "Change permissions". Select "replace all sub-object permissions with permissions inherited from this object." OK ">" yes ">" OK ">" view User Permissions ".
