1. Pre-color Adjustment

Before applying whitening teeth, first make sure that the previous adjustment steps have been completed. The original image is shown in the following illustration.

These early steps include adjustments for brightness/contrast, color levels, color and hue/saturation. With the early steps as a cushion, the steps down will become handy. The adjustment details for brightness/contrast, levels, color and hue/saturation are shown in the following illustration.

2. Copy layers and select Edit

Copy the layer you just adjusted in the Layers panel, and then name the layer "teeth whitening" or other names that are similar to each other to differentiate the adjusted layers. Select the copy layer below to edit it. The operation is shown in the following figure.

3. Choose Pen Tool

There are many ways to choose which teeth to whiten, but the pen tool is what the authors recommend. The Pen tool can control the selected range more precisely so that the whitening effect is only valid for the teeth and retains the natural nature of the other parts. Press "P" directly or select the Pen tool in the toolbar. The operation is shown in the following figure.

4, use the path

Before you start using the Pen tool, first select the pen path mode. As shown in the following figure.

Add anchor points around the teeth, as shown in the following figure. Using a pen to select an area is a time-consuming and tricky operation, so when you're done, you can try different anchor points and try to select the teeth completely. Of course, a little bit is OK. The effect is shown in the following illustration.

5. Establish a constituency

After you have determined the selection, right-click the selection, select Create Selection in the pop-up menu, set the feather radius to 2 pixels, tick the new selection and anti-aliasing, and click OK. After you create a selection, the new layer pastes the patterns within the selection onto the new layer, and then it's about to adjust the hue and color. The operation is shown in the following figure.

6, Whitening Teeth

Select the pattern you just copied, select Image > New adjustment layer > Hue/Saturation in the menu bar, and set the saturation level in the Hue/Saturation settings panel-65, lightness +50. Then select the Dodge tool, the range of the selection of midtones, exposure of 50%. Choose a large diameter brush to brush in the selection range to make the teeth look more whitening. The effect is shown in the following illustration.
