Photoshop Novice Tutorials-Tips for copying

Source: Internet
Author: User
Skills | Tutorial 1. You can use the Marquee tool [M] (Marquee Tool) or the Lasso tool [L] (polygonal Lasso) to drag a selection from one document to another.

2. When you drag a selection or layer from one document to another, hold down the SHIFT key so that it is centered on the destination document.

Tip: If the source document and destination document have the same size (size), the dragged element is placed in the same place as the source document (not in the center of the canvas).

Note: If the destination document contains a selection, the dragged element is placed in the center of the selection.

3. When you want to move multiple layers between different documents, link them first, and then use the Move tool to drag multiple layers across the document at the same time.

Note: You cannot drag multiple layers to another document (even if they are linked) in the layers panel-this will only move the selected layer.

4. The quickest way to organize multiple layers into a group is to link them first, and then select the grouped link layer command [ctrl+g] (Layer>group linked). You can then cancel the link as you wish.

Note: This technique can also be used to merge multiple visible layers of [ctrl+e] (layer> merge down) (since the current layer is linked to other layers "and the previous group with previous command" becomes "grouped link layer" (Group Linked) "command).

5. There is a clever way to rearrange multiple layers at the same time (in the Layers Panel): First the desired layer link Group [ctrl+g] (Layer Group with Previous), drag to a new place in the level board and ungroup.

6. To create a copy document for the current history State or snapshot (window> show History), you can:

A) Click the "Create new document from current state" button

b Select a new document from the History panel menu

C Drag the current state (or snapshot) to the "Create new document from current state" button

D Right click on the desired state (or snapshot) to select a new document from the pop-up menu

7. Drag a historical state of the current picture to a window in another picture to change the contents of the destination picture.

8. alt-click any historical state (except the current, recent state) to copy it. The state that is then copied becomes the current (recent) state.

9. alt-Drag the steps in the action to copy it to another action.
