Die (Message)

Output Information and interrupt PHPProgram.

Syntax: void die (string message );

Return Value: None

Function types: PhP system functions

Description

This function will send a string to the browser and interrupt the PHP Program (SCRIPT ). The message parameter is the string to be sent.

Example

In the following example, if you cannot open/etc/shadow, send it to the browser. Sorry, you cannot open:/etc/shadow.


$ filename ="/etc/shadow ";
$ file = @ fopen ($ filename, 'R') or die (" sorry, cannot open :". $ filename);
echo "this row will not be executed";
