Take version phpmyadmin-2.6.1.tar.gz as an example
Unzip phpmyadmin-2.6.1.tar.gz to/usr/local/apache2/htdocs first,
Get the folder phpMyAdmin-2.6.1, rename it to phpMyAdmin, (this will be easier in later operations).
Go to the phpMyAdmin folder and open the config.inc.php with the VIM command.
That is #vim config.inc.php.
encryption requires only two parts to be modified:
1. Find $cfg [' Servers '] [$i] [' auth_type '] = ' config '; (line 83rd), change config to http.
As mine is: $cfg [' Servers '] [$i] [' auth_type '] = ' http ';
2, followed by two lines to fill in the database user name and password can
As mine is: $cfg [' Servers '] [$i] [' user '] = ' root ';
$cfg [' Servers '] [$i] [' password '] = ' 123456 ';

There is one more place to modify during the phpMyAdmin configuration:
Find $cfg[' pmaabsoluteuri '] = "; (39 lines)
In the back, fill in the absolute address of your server's phpmyadmin.
As mine is:
$cfg [' pmaabsoluteuri '] = ' http://10.10.19.167/phpmyadmin ';
This phpmyadmin configuration is complete, simple! (Note: Different versions may be different)
