Powerdesigner Reverse Engineering

In many cases, we need to reverse generate B's erfigure powerdesigner, which is relatively easy to use. Here we will introduce the preliminary simple usage.

Let's talk about the steps of reverse engineering.

Next, let's talk about how to use the SQL experiment here.

 

1. Open PD and select database in the menu bar ---> select configure data connections to see all the prototypes available on your computer.

Here we can see the data source available for you to choose. What if we see no SQL?

Find the data source type we need (SQL in this article)

Enter the parameters we need. If you do not have any special requirements, you can proceed directly to the next step.

After that, we will return to the beginning and find out what links are needed for us. Then we will generate a graph.

Choose File> reverse engineer> database to open the new physical data model dialog box.

 

Click "OK" to bring up the database reverse engineering Options dialog box:

 

Select using a data source, click the Data Source button to bring up the connection to a data source dialog box, select the data source we created earlier from the drop-down box, and enter the user ID and password

 

Click connection to connect to the database and retrieve all database objects. Here we select all tables.
