Ii. Four slide view modes in PowerPoint 2003
1. Common View
A common view is the main editing view. A common view consists of the slide pane, task pane, remarks pane, outline, and slides.
2. Slide View
You can also see thumbnails of all slides to understand the layout of the entire slide. However, the editing function is poor in this view.
3. Slide Show View
After creation, you can show the entire slide or preview a single slide.
4. Remarks page view
Each slide in the presentation is in a corresponding note. The remarks page records the prompt information and annotations for the corresponding slides. In the remarks page view, you can browse the slide page and enter comments and descriptions for the slide.
In the remarks page view, enter the following text:

(2) Select the menu [format]/[text box], and select the "text box" tab in the "set text box format" dialog box to set the text position and margin in the text box.
Note: The distance between the text and the border can be adjusted only after the option "adjust the size of the selected image to adapt to the text" is selected.

To copy text between two presentations, open both presentations at the same time, and click "rearrange all" in the "window" menu ".

To retain the original format of the pasted project, click "retain source format ".
To match the format of the pasted text with any format in the current placeholder, click "Retain text only". This option is displayed if the font used to paste the text or target placeholder is different from that used in the original or current design template.
(Placeholder: A box with dotted lines or shadow edges. This box is available in most slide la S. You can place titles, bodies, charts, tables, images, and other objects in these boxes .)
(Design template: a file containing a presentation style, includes the types and sizes of project symbols and fonts, placeholder sizes and locations, background design and fill, color schemes, slide masters, and optional title masters .)
Note: If you want to move a project instead of copying a project, click cut instead of copy in the shortcut menu ".
(2) Delete text
① Use the "Delete" and "backspace" keys to delete the last character and the previous character respectively. ② Select the text to be deleted and press the "delete" or "backspace" key to delete a batch of text at a time.
3. Set text format
① Select the text to be set ② [format]/[font] Open the "font" dialog box ③ in the dialog box, set the "font", "font", and other modifiers respectively settings
Note:
Each font has its own characteristics, so it is important to maintain consistency. It is recommended that there be no more than 3 or 4 fonts in the same presentation.
You can also use the "format" toolbar to quickly set the settings.

(1) Adjust the image size, position, and Angle
① Select the image to be edited (with the mouse clicked, eight white control points and green control points around the image are displayed) ② move the cursor over the image and hold down the left button to drag the image to another location
③ Move the mouse to the white control point. When the mouse pointer turns into a bidirectional arrow, hold down the left mouse button and drag the border to adjust the image size.
④ Move the mouse to the green control point, hold down the left mouse button, and rotate around the center of the image to adjust the image angle.
(2) Use the "image" toolbar to set image attributes
Note:
① When you click an image, the "image" Toolbar will automatically open. If it is not enabled, you can use [view]/[toolbar]/[Image] to display it.
② You can click the crop button to remove unnecessary parts of the image. Press ctrl and drag the corner points to crop the four sides equally.
③ Re-coloring of images: Only vector images are supported. For non-vector images, special tools are used for coloring.
(3) Use the "set image format" menu to set

4. Drawing Images

1. Create a table
Method 1: [insert]/[Table] in the menu. In the displayed "Insert table" dialog box, enter the rows and columns, and click [OK.
Method 2: click the "Insert table" button on the "common" toolbar, press the left mouse button to drag the expected table rows and columns in the table legend, and release the mouse.
Method 3: Open the "table and border" toolbar through [view]/[toolbar]/[Table and border], and use the toolbar to create complex tables.
Note: "method 1" and "method 2" can only produce standard tables. "method 3" is used to create complex tables.
2. Table editing and format settings

5.2.4 add sounds and movies to the slides
I. Method of adding sound:
[Insert] menu/[film and sound]/[file sound]
In the "insert sound" dialog box, select the location and file name of the disk where the sound to be inserted is located, and click the [insert] button. A prompt box is displayed.
When automatic is selected, the inserted sound file is automatically played when the slide is played. Otherwise, playback starts only when you click.
Advanced Settings for sound files:
Right-click the audio file ID (yellow) and choose edit sound object from the shortcut menu.
Set in the "sound options" dialog box.
Ii. How to add a video:
[Insert] menu/[Movie and sound]/[Movie in file]

5.2.5 insert, move, copy, and delete slides
1. Slide insertion:
Method 1:

② [Insert]/[new slide] in the menu. A new slide is automatically added to the computer.
Method 2:
① Click the position to insert in the outline/slide pane (that is, click the first one of the slides to insert ).
② Click the new Slide button on the "format" toolbar to automatically add a new slide to the computer.
Method 3:
① Click the position to insert in the outline/slide pane (that is, click the first one of the slides to insert ).

5.2.6 master, color scheme, application design template, and layout settings
1. Master
The master allows you to easily control the appearance of the entire presentation. After you modify some information in the master, the slides, remarks pages, and handouts in the presentation will change accordingly. Based on different control scopes, the master is divided into four categories: slide master, title master, handout master, and remark master.
1. Master type (you can use the menu [view]/[Master] […] Enter different master types)
(1) slide master
① Used to control all slides except the title slides. You can set the page position and text format of the main text of the slides, including the font, font size, color, and shadow.
② How to enter the slide master: menu [view]/[Master]/[slide master]
Note: click "View" in the lower-left corner of the screen, select another view from the "View" menu, or click "Close master View" in the "master" toolbar, you can close the slide master and return to normal editing mode.
(2) Title master
① It is used to control the title of the first page of the document and the format of the submitter. It only works for the title slide and does not affect other slides.
② Enter the title master: first enter the slide master, and then click the title master ID in the "outline/slide" Pane on the right of the screen to enter the title master.
(3) Handout master
① Used to control the print format of handouts. Handouts can be printed in 6 possible formats: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9 slides per page.

(4) remark master
① It is used to set the display format of the remarks so that each remarks page has a uniform appearance.

2. Master Settings
(1) The text, graphics, and animations in the master can be set as they are in the slides.
(2) Insert a slide master or title master.
① Select the [view]/[Master]/[slide master] command in the menu bar
② To insert a slide master with the default style on the slide master page, click the Insert new slide master button on the "slide master View" toolbar.
③ To insert a slide master by adding a new design template, click design on the format toolbar, in the slide settings task pane, point to the expected design template thumbnail, click the lower triangle button on the right of the thumbnail, and select the add design scheme option in the drop-down menu.
④ If you want to insert a title master in an existing slide master, select the slide master thumbnail on the left and click the Insert new title master button on the "slide master View" toolbar.

Ii. Color Scheme:
A presentation is an audience-oriented display material. Whether the color usage on the image is properly coordinated is an important factor affecting the presentation effect. A color scheme is a set of Preset colors that can be applied to presentations. There are 8 colors in the system's color scheme, each of which has its own specific purpose. They are applied to the background, text, lines, and other objects in the foreground.
1. Select a color scheme
(1) Open the slide for color matching,
(2) Click the "slide design-Color Scheme" command in the task pane to display the "Application Color Scheme" list,
(3) Click the desired color scheme in the list. The scheme is automatically applied to the presentation.
5.3.1 slide show Management 1. Set the show Mode
Method: Click [Slide Show]/[set display mode] in the menu to open the "set display mode" dialog box.
① Speaker Screening: In this mode, the speaker has full control over the screening and can run the slide show automatically or manually!
② Self-view by the audience: In the self-view mode, the audience can use the window to view the slides by themselves. In this case, you cannot click the mouse button to show the screen. You can only automatically show the screen or use the scroll bar to show the screen.
③ Browse at the booth: The display mode is the easiest to control. During the screening process, in addition to using the mouse pointer to select the Screen Object, all other functions will be invalid. to terminate the screening, you can only press the "ESC" key.
2. Add action buttons in pp. hyperlinks are links from one slide to another, custom slides, webpages, or files. A hyperlink may be a text or object (image, image, shape, or artistic word)
Action Buttons are essentially graphical hyperlinks. When you click the action button, the user automatically links to the object pointed to by the URL. Right click to insert the action button to any position of the presentation and define a hyperlink for it.

I. In the "enter", "emphasize", and "exit" sub-menu, select the "other effects" command to display more animation effects.
Ii. After an animation effect is added, the numbers are marked before each object on the page to indicate the playing sequence.
2. Set the action path
① In a common view, open a slide that contains the text or object that you want to create an action path. ② select the text project or object to be animated. ③ In the "Custom Animation" task pane, click "add effect" to bring up a submenu for adding an animation effect. ④ In the next sub-menu of "Action path", select the path to be set.
5.3.3 slide Switching
1. Add the slide Switching Effect
(1) Add the same switching effect to all slides
① Click [Slide Show]/[Slide SWITCH] in the menu.
② In the slide switchover task pane, click the expected switchover effect;
③ Click [apply to all slides.
(2) Add different switches between slides.
① On the "slides" tab of the general view, select the slides for which you want to add the switching effect;
② Click [Slide Show]/[Slide SWITCH] in the menu.
③ In the slide switchover task pane, click the expected switchover effect;
5.3.4 package and release a presentation
In many cases, the created presentation needs to be transmitted to other computers for playback. If the Microsoft PowerPoint program is not installed on other computers, no presentations can be played. To avoid this problem, you must combine playback support files and demo files.
Method:
① Open the presentation to be packaged in the PP software;
② Click [file]/[package into CD] in the menu.
③ In the pop-up "package as CD" dialog box, click the [copy to folder] button to copy to a mobile disk.
Note:
① The [copy to CD] button must be available on a computer with a burner.
② You can use the [option] button to encrypt the packaged documents and copy the special font.
