Nine days after the press conference, iPad 2 was launched in the United States. The Android tablet also has Galaxy Tab, XOOM, and many other competitive products available to the market, touchPad, which is highly expected by many webOS fans, will be available in two months. Previously, Leo Apotheker, CEO of HP, mentioned the latest progress of webOS devices at the HP summit-TouchPad was released in May.
PreCentral has implemented several webOS 3.0 simulators today, so that we can solve the problem first.
Browser and virtual keyboard
The browser adopts a concise design. Menus are mainly concentrated in the upper right corner, including sharing, new pages, and history/bookmarks.
Compared with iOS, the virtual keyboard uses lower-case characters by default. There is a row of numeric buttons on the English character keyboard, and the numeric keys have the same SHIFT characters as the computer keyboard. Such a keyboard layout may be easier to use. In addition, there is a Next button in the lower left corner, which may be used to flip the page or switch the input box, while the lower right corner has the same keyboard hidden button as iOS.
Map
The map also has a simple layout. The search box is displayed in the upper left corner, and the Search/navigation switch button, details, and favorite button are displayed in the upper right corner.
It is worth noting that the map program in webOS 3.0 has been switched to the Bing map. Compared with the Google Map, Bing map has a 45-degree aerial view, however, there is no detailed traffic indicator in Google Maps.
Message
Similar to the message interface we see in webOS 2.x System of Palm Pre. There are dialogs, contacts, and common contacts, and the area on the right should be the place where the conversation is presented.
Device menu
The webOS drop-down menu and notification system have always been praised by users. The notification system and device menu on TouchPad are arranged in the upper right corner. Normally, the power and time are displayed. After you open the drop-down menu, you can see the time, power ratio, brightness adjustment, VPN, flight mode switch, horizontal and vertical screen switch, and mute switch.
IPad users generally need to install SBSettings after cracking to have similar shortcut menus. Such layout in webOS 3.0 is obviously very effective and practical.
Music
The music interface is slightly different from iOS. The menu on the left allows users to browse music libraries based on the song name, artist, album, and music type. Of course, you can also set the playing list. At the bottom of the playback interface is the playback control interface, where the button at the top left of the volume control bar is a bit confusing. This button is usually switched in full screen mode.
Although these five pieces can only look at the leopard, the practical and aesthetic design details of these webOS also let us look forward to more TouchPad. TouchPad. We will see you on August 29, June! Click here to view the original article: PreCentral)
