PS Blending mode and layer styles make rough 3D fonts

In this tutorial, you will draw a very rough 3D font effect. Without too many steps to modify the text details, the main application of the lighting effect filter to shape the three-dimensional text, there are some layer styles. The tutorial steps are simple, using mixed mode and layer styles. I believe you can finish it in a short time. I hope you like it.

Final Effect Diagram:

1, select the "File/new" menu, open the new or CTRL + N dialog box name: PS Layer style to create a 3D font effect, Width: 640 pixels, Height: 480 pixels, "Resolution" for 72, "mode" for RGB color documents, as shown in Figure 1.

Click the New Layer button in the Layer Control Panel, create a new background, select the Toolbox Gradient tool (accelerator g), set the tool options bar to a linear gradient, and then click the editable gradient to eject the gradient editor. Double-click a in Figure 3 to set the color RGB to 57, 63, 54, respectively. Double-click b in Figure 3 to set RGB to 0, 0, 0, as shown in Figure 3. In the workspace,

Hold down SHIFT while dragging the left mouse button from top to bottom to drag the horizontal gradient effect, as shown in Figure 2.

3, click the Horizontal Type tool in the toolbox, enter English letters ASDFGH, Qwertyui, Zxcvbnmop, ASDFGH, FGH, and then set the font on the Tools Options bar: Folio XBd BT, Size: 45.8 point, color: khaki, set anti-aliasing method: Deep, and adjust the distance between the English font and the font, and then select all the English alphabet layers to merge together, as shown in Figure 4.

4, then right click on the ASDFGH layer, select the blending options, into the layer style, respectively, check the projection, inner shadow, inner glow, bevel and emboss, gloss, color overlay, gradient overlay options, as shown in Figure 5.
