Qt5.3 Miscellaneous

In qt5, The qwidget series are separated from qtgui to become a separate qtwidget module. With the introduction of QT quick2, qtdeclarative is gradually out of relationship with the qwidget series.

Finally: There are two different sets of GUI programming in qt5.

• Qtwidget (using something called backingstore)

• Qtquick (using something called Scene Graph)

 

Qdeclarativeview and other things in qt4 were changed to qquickview and qqmlitem, which were placed in qtquick and qtqml modules respectively.
The framework of qquickview is completely out of the constraints of qwidget. It inherits from qsurface to qwindow. Although it is a window, it does not feel like a window.
Qquickview uses OpenGL and hardware acceleration.
