Quick and automatic update of Android Studio
During the development process, some errors such as low Android Studio vesion versions and upgrade requirements are always reported. However, you may have trouble downloading them online, one of the tips we will introduce today is that you can directly upgrade the app in Android Studio. Let's take a look at how to upgrade the app;
Step 1: open Settings, find the Updates under policym Settings in 1, and then the page on the right will appear. Select "automatically search for version Updates" in 2. My version is 2.0preview2, I like to experience the latest version. Now I just click the Beta channel to download it. It is not the official version. Click Check as indicated by 3. If the latest version is available, the update prompt beta 6 will pop up. (If you want to get updates from the official google, your network will go through the wall, you should remember whether your network has already crossed the wall. If you haven't crossed the wall, I cannot guarantee that you will receive the update. If you want to overturn the wall, you should know that vpn is used, if you don't know how to go over the wall, you just need to go to Baidu. ) The update content is a cumulative update from 2.0 preview2 to beta6, with a total of 53 Mb. Click Update and restart in 5;
After you click Update, the following update progress bar is displayed. Then wait for the update to complete.
After restarting, you can see that your Android Studio version is 2.0 Beta 6.
The differences between Android Studio versions are described here.
We can see that there are four channels for version updates. Their features are as follows:
CanaryChannel: canary edition, which can obtain the latest features (with many bugs and not verified yet)
Develop Channel: Developer Edition. Major bugs in this version have been solved;
Beta Channel: test version. Many minor bugs have been solved here. There are some problems that we may not be able to solve;
Stable Channel: the official Stable version, which is the latest official version officially recommended. However, it will take a long time to complete. All functions are Stable and there is almost no problem. It is suitable for those who are new to AndroidStudio and those who are most stable. Developers who like me and who like me are fond of using the latest beta version. Haha.
Now, I will introduce you to the tips for updating the version of Android Studio. I hope it will be helpful for everyone's work and study, and wish everyone a happy learning! Make progress every day!
