Restore a deleted website set

Source: Internet
Author: User

In earlier versions of SharePoint Server 2010, if the site set (that is, the spsite object) is accidentally deleted, there is no direct way to restore the specific deleted site set. The only way to restore a deleted website set is to restore the entire server farm from the backup. This will consume a lot of money and time, and will not be executed normally.

In Sharepoint Server 2010 SP1, if the site set is accidentally deleted, the deleted site set is stored in the spdeletedsite object instead of in the spsite object. Therefore, to restore a deleted website set, you must use the restore-spdeletedsite windows powershell cmdlet or programmatically access the object model.
