Restore the accidentally deleted desktop Recycle Bin

Registry Method

Many software can hide the "recycle bin" by modifying the Registry. You only need to change it back and retrieve the "recycle bin" icon. The specific operation is as follows:

1. Click Start and run. In open, type regedit to run the Registry Editor;

2. Expand the Registry to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ hidemo-topicons \ newstartpanel;

3. In the right pane, right-click "645ff040-5081-101b-9f08-00aa002f954e" DWORD value, and select "modify ";

4. In the value data box, type the value "0" and click "OK ";

5. Exit the Registry Editor.

If the above process does not help, you can create a registry entry named "645ff040-5081-101b-9f08-00aa002f954e" under the "hkey_localmachine \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Desktop \ namespace" registry, right-click the new registry key, double-click the (default) Key in the right pane, type "recycle bin" in the "value data" box, and click "OK ".

Group Policy Method

1. Run the Group Policy by clicking start \ Run, typing gpedit. MSC in the open box, and then clicking OK ";

2. Under "user configuration", click "manage template" and double-click "desktop ";

3. Double-click "delete recycle bin from desktop ";

4. Click the "Settings" tab, select "Not Configured", and click "OK.
