Use the following method in case the root password is forgotten

Restarting the server

Press E to enter the following interface

Change RHGB quiet to Init=/bin/sh

When you are done, press Ctrl+x to enter single-user mode, such as

To start changing your password, follow the steps below.

Mount-o REMOUNT,RW/

echo ' New password ' | passwd--stdin Root

Touch/.autorelabel

exec/sbin/init

When the above four commands are completed, they will be restarted and the password modified!

#PS: For CentOS7 to modify the root password, the method is exactly the same
