Scala framework Selection

The Scala persistence layer frameworks I know include:

1. Slick

2. squeryl

3. anorm (persistence layer of play)

4. scalaactiverecord (based on squeryl)

5. circumflex-ORM

Web Framework

1. Spray (build on akka, completely asynchronous, non-blocking, very promising, suitable for rest backend programs)

2. Play (not very used)

3. scalatra (available integration for akka, squeryl, etc., suitable for the view layer)

4. Lift

My options:

1. For the API Layer

Use Spray + akka + scalaactiverecord

2. for common Web Applications

Use scalatra + scalaactiverecord

Why scalaactiverecord is used:

1. Based on squeryl

2. Integrated Database Connection Pool

3. Transaction Control
