After the search center is created, all content, people, conversations, and videos are displayed on the search results page by default. Search results within the specified range are returned for each category, here, I have added the department log result category. To search for this category, only the department log content type search results are returned. To achieve this effect, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the management center, go to management applications, click search service applications, go to the search management page, and then click the result Source:
Step 2: Create a New Result source, enter the name, enter the local SharePoint protocol, and select the default credential information,
Step 3: Click Start query generator, generate query statement, save at last, and then click Save button for new content source.
Step 5: Use SharePoint designer to open the newly created Enterprise Search Center website
Step 6: navigate to the pages folder and copy the results. ASPX page. The copied file name is depresults. aspx.
Step 7: Go to the search result page of the Enterprise Search center, click Edit, and then edit the webpart
Step 8: on the Search Settings page, configure the search navigation area, click Add navigation, enter the title, and enter the new depresults. ASPX page URL in the URL box,
Step 9: Return to the search result page, click the department log category Link To Go To The depresults. ASPX page, and then click Edit.
