Sorting and shuffling of JavaScript array elements

Here we use an sort function for sorting.

Forward sorting

Var numberArray = [2, 1, 3];
NumberArray. sort (function (a, B ){
Return a-B;
    }
);
// [1, 2, 3]

Reverse sorting

Var numberArray = [2, 1, 3];
NumberArray. sort (function (a, B ){
Return B-;
    }
);
// [3, 2, 1]

Random Sorting (shuffling)

Var numberArray = [2, 1, 3];
NumberArray. sort (function (){
Return Math. random ()-0.5;
    }
);
// Random
We can see that the sorting is determined by the return value of the anonymous function. False indicates positive Order, true indicates reverse order, 0 indicates unordered, and random indicates random result.
