The real reason for not saving is that this file does not have write permissions for the normal user (Users group). The Hosts file in WINDOWS8 does not have permission to write to the users, so we add it.

Right-key host file, properties. At the same time, we see that deleting and renaming this file requires elevated privileges.

On the Security page, select the user group users that we want to modify. Next we want to modify the file's permissions for users, click Edit.

In the pop-up dialog box, select the Users group to see only poor read, read and execute two permissions.
