The relative path of tar package compression and decompression in Mac

I. Problem Description

There is a requirement that doesn't know how to implement it.

Compression: Tar czvf/data/backup/test.tar.gz/data/a/B/directory

Decompress:

CD/data/test

Tar xzvf/data/backup/test.tar.gz

The problem is that the decompressed file is in/data/test/data/a/B/directory.

Can the compression only retain all directories under directory as/instead of/data/a/B/directory?

Ii. Solutions

(1) package and compress the CD directly to the current directory.

(2) Use the-C Parameter

This will solve the problem.

Tar czvf/data/backup/test.tar.gz/data/a/B/directory

Change

Tar czvf/data/backup/test.tar.gz-C/data/a/B directory

-C is the temporary switch working directory, and-P is the absolute path. Here, only the-C parameter is used.
