Troubleshoot github downloads slow on Ubuntu system

If you are using GitHub, there are slow access and download problems, which can be resolved by modifying the host. Remember not to step on the pit! In four steps:

The first step: query fast IP Address

Query the following three domains in Http://tool.chinaz.com/dns:

Github.com

Record the IP address with the lowest TTL value.

Step Two: Modify the host File

Enter the terminal command line mode and input sudo gedit/etc/hosts

Add the appropriate IP and domain name at the end of the file. As follows: Record to replace your query IP Oh!

151.101. 16.249 GitHub. Global . Ssl.fastly.net 151.101. 100.133 assets-cdn.github.com192.30. 253.112 github.com

Step three: Update the DNS cache

sudo apt-get/etc/init.d/nscd Restart

Fourth step: Do not step on the pit Oh!

Please do not add the following domain name in host. I have tested, add these two domain name no effect does not count, will affect the speed. Do not add faster.

Github.global.ssl.fastly.net
